Chemical Peels
Peel away the signs of aging to reveal a luminous, more youthful complexion.
You already have a brighter, smoother, healthier skin – it’s just waiting to be revealed! A chemical peel is a highly effective skincare treatment that uses a variety of specially formulated chemical solutions to exfoliate and remove the damaged outer layers of dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This process promotes the natural regeneration of fresh, healthy skin cells, uncovering a fresher and more youthful complexion.
Chemical peels offer significant benefits for a wide range of skin concerns, including hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and signs of photoaging. By clearing away the buildup of dead skin cells and promoting cellular turnover, this treatment helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve the texture and tone of the skin, and enhance overall hydration. It also minimizes pore size, reduces blemishes, and helps regulate excess oil production.
As a result, your skin will not only look revitalized and rejuvenated, but it will also feel healthier, with a smoother, more even complexion that glows with renewed radiance. Whether you’re looking to address specific skin issues or simply refresh your appearance, a chemical peel can offer transformative results for a wide variety of skin types.
Types of Peels
All of our Rhonda Allison treatment procedures are considered superficial; they do not penetrate beyond the epidermis or papillary dermis. They are not to be confused with medical or physician-strength peels that affect the reticular dermis.
Progressive
This refers to a treatment that does not usually cause immediate exfoliation and only removes the outer layers of skin, or the stratum corneum. As treatments are repeated, the skin will experience a mild sloughing.
Mid-Depth
These peels affect the intra-epidermal layer, and exfoliation occurs within two to three days after application. The skin goes through very little down time. Peeling consists of light flaking, similar to a sunburn peel.

Peel
A chemical peel is a technique which involves the application of a variety of chemical solutions to remove the damaged outer layers of dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. It is extremely beneficial for many skin conditions, such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and photo aging. By removing the buildup of dead skin cells and stimulating the regenerative process, you will notice marked improvements in the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, the texture and tone of the skin, hydration, pore size, the clearing of blemishes, oil production balance, and overall skin appearance. Three two types of peels available: Progressive and Mid-Depth.

Post-peel care is essential for glowing results!
What you do after your peel is just as important as the peel itself! We’ll provide you with specific instructions to follow to minimize any irritation and maximize your results. Post care includes occlusive healing balms, epidermal growth factor (cell renewal and wound repair), calming and soothing topicals to reduce itching and inflammation, and continual sunscreen application.
Once the skin peel is completed and the skin is completely healed, a good daily skincare regimen is essential. The most important elements of a home care routine are cleanser, serum, and sunblock. Next in importance is a supportive cell rejuvenator. These are the basics. Additional specialty products, such as exfoliators, antioxidants, eye serums, nighttime moisturizers, AHAs, vitamin C, retinol, enzymes, masks, and topical correctives may be added to enhance and maintain results.

The right peel can end acne and soften the scars that come with it. Salicylic acid-based peels dive deep into skin to unclog pores while also skimming the surface to erode blackheads and fade post-pimple marks. Another advantage of salicylic acid is that it lingers in the pores, where it continues to keep them clear over time.
Nothing controls melasma better. There isn’t a permanent cure for the recurring sun-triggered dark patches brought on by hormonal surges (like those caused by pregnancy and the birth control pill), but chemical peels (when paired with at-home treatments, high SPF sunscreen, and strict sun avoidance) offer the best fighting chance.
